How to Save Money on Massage

Three ways to save money on massage therapy and energy healing services.

  1. Tax Exemption

  2. HSA Account

  3. Referral System

    *Bonus: Prioritize This Time

1. Tax Exemption: You need a note from your doctor.

You could save about $20 on each session… if you get a note from a licensed healthcare provider saying that you are exempt from paying taxes on the service.

Minnesota charges sales tax on massage therapy and energy healing services.

In Minneapolis, the rate is 9.03%.

If you’re working with me, that tax adds up to nearly $13 for a 60 minute session and about $19 for a 90 minute session.

If you have a doctor’s note, you don’t have to pay that tax.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue says you need your doctor, acupuncturist or chiropractor to write a note saying you need massage therapy.

I’ll need to keep a copy for my records. It doesn’t need to be fancy, and there isn’t a specific form they need to fill out.

Tell the healthcare provider to keep it simple.

Example of Doctors Note:

To Whom it May Concern,

It is my recommendation that (Patient Name & DOB) receive massage therapy, bodywork or energy healing as often as needed in 2024 to help in their ongoing treatment and maintenance of XXX. (lower back pain, tension of shoulders, general health upkeep, menstrual pms, endometriosis etc)

Signed. Dated. License, Insurance Number Included.”

2. Health Savings Account:

You might be able to use your Health Savings Account (HSA) to fund massage therapy. Read the fine print or call the number on the back of your insurance card to see if you qualify.

3. Referrals Program

Your transformation and energy speaks volumes.

Have you ever looked at someone who just seems to be glowing? sparkling? or just looks really great?

People can sense when you’ve done the work to release and transform. Thats because we all have energy fields that are reading each other…even if we aren’t picking up on it with our minds.

Sharing your experiences with others allows them to decide wether they are ready to transform themselves. So please keep talking about the good, euphoric, dark and tough parts of the journey. Your only job is to do your own inner work and follow your joy. Everyone else decides when it’s time for them.

If you refer someone, I offer $20 off your next session. Please let me know, so I can honor this.

Bonus: Make This your Priority & Watch the Money Come

Let’s be honest. Massage or bodywork and Energy healing is the first to go. The excuses are easy...

You might have a tighter budget this month… you might be feeling great and it slips your mind… you might be annoyed you have to call in help for something you can’t figure out yourself.

Going within, listening, processing, staying present, embodying your Soul, nourishing your systems, relaxing the nervous system. These are all PRACTICES that allow us to lead healthier, balanced and more fulfilling lives.

When shit hits the fan, you need tools to move through the stress cycle so you don’t end up in crisis.

Dedicating 60 to 90 minutes of your month to some quiet self care time is integral to your overall well-being. Call in the money. Tell your higher-self or your spirit team that this is a priority and you need it to happen. Then get out of the way. Let the budget come in for this. Be open to receive.

The best time to receive is when you’re feeling good!

When you feel tension in your body and you can’t explain why, a massage is a band-aide. We’re alleviating the symptom.

Why are you feeling that tension in the first place? Is it because you didn’t breathe when you were stressed for 2-weeks? Is it greif? Did you have an experience you haven’t fully processed? What are you burying?

I want to work with you monthly, so that you have less flare-ups.

Come see me when you’re feeling down, but also come see me when you’re thriving! That’s when we can really go deep and unravel.

*If money is whats preventing you from a session, let’s have a conversation about package deals or brainstorm equal ways to do an energy exchange.
